I cannot find rhythm in
words without pain
I cannot write without the dark
that steals me from its sore grips
It throws me to the hungry wolves
that howl for my aching soul
There seems to be no poetry
in the sunlight,
only in the ghosts that stalk my
bare being from beneath the
cold draft of wind, screaming out
in all the hurt
Part of my inspiration comes from sharing my love of poetry with readers like you. I think to myself: there'd be no point to writing if I were my only reader! Thank you all for visiting!

Love Her Like
Love her like
She's the raging sea,
Unrestrained and dark and deep.
And you crave her touch
Through aching pores
As you slowly drown in sleep.
Love her like
She's the tender storm,
A lovely shade of grey.
Like with every whiff
Of breath she takes,
She's taking yours away.
Love her like
She's the silent clouds
With calmness floating by.
Like you'd want to make
Sweet love to her
Under the moon's apocalyptic eye.
Love her like
She's the blazing fire,
And you lust the candied pain.
Like she's the disease
That swallowed you whole
And you'd like to die again.
When her gentle touch
Makes your chest explode,
And your addiction is your girl.
Promise you'll love her
Through hell and back,
Or do yourself a favor
And don't ever love her at all.

Someone asked "why do we fall for someone we cannot have?
I don't know to be honest. Love may be given different meanings but the way it works is still an ongoing mystery. But I'll ask you this: do you fall in love with someone because you know you can't have her? If yes, is that really love? If no, then do you fall in love with someone because they make you laugh? Because their smile is breathtaking? Because their eyes sparkle? Because they make you feel good inside?
When you fall in love, you take unknowing risks. That's why it's called "Falling" in love because you don't walk towards love, you dive in headfirst because you want to feel more of that gooey elated feeling you get when you are with that person you fell for. That's why they say love is blind because it doesn't know if it will be reciprocated or not. All it knows is that this person makes me feel all good inside, that this person is someone I want to spend my time with, that this person is someone I want to be with until the end. We don't fall because they're unattainable, we fall because they are who they are..
I say that I know I don't have a chance with that person anymore, but isn't love all about risks? To love is to hurt.
